All about teen marine
The team behind the boat
We are an organisation aimed at providing young people with education, training and experiences in marine environments.
How it all began
The Story of Teen Marine
We are registered as a Charity with the Charity Commission of England and Wales, Registration number 1158306. We currently own an 8m ASTEC RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) fondly named “Hot Fuzz” which was donated to us by our friends and supporters at the Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP).
She was seized by the RGP as proceeds of crime following the arrest of the occupants in Gibraltarian Territorial Waters. It is believed that it was being used for smuggling drugs and Tobacco from North Africa into Gibraltar/Spain.
The boat behind Teen Marine
Say hello to Hot Fuzz
Hot Fuzz has been designed and refitted to carry 10 persons and is currently based at Mercury Yacht Harbour in Hamble, Hampshire.
Being based at this location gives the groups using her access to the entire Solent. It also gives them a vast selection of locations they can visit with different activities available to them.
We welcome youth organisations to join us as members and can provide the training needed for leaders to use Hot Fuzz. We can also provide fully qualified instructors or skippers for organised days or events.
She was seized by the RGP as proceeds of crime following the arrest of the occupants in Gibraltarian Territorial Waters. It is believed that it was being used for smuggling drugs and Tobacco from North Africa into Gibraltar/Spain.
Teen Marine provide an unparalleled insight into Powerboating, encouraging young people from all backgrounds to engage in an experience which for many, is outside of their comfort zone. There are engagement and development opportunities provided throughout for both leaders and students, their enthusiasm is infectious! They have impeccable standards and vast experience in both the environment they teach in and the young people they strive to educate
